5 Ingredient Satay Beef Skewers

You only need five ingredients for these simple Asian inspired satay beef skewers and colourful salad.


600g beef rump steak, cut into 2.5cm cubes
600g beef rump steak, cut into 2.5cm cubes
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
450g packet 2 1/2 minute microwave jasmine rice
350g bag Asian-style salad with soy sesame dressing and crunchy noodles


  1. Place beef in a bowl. Add 1/3 cup satay sauce. Stir to coat. Thread beef onto 8 skewers.
  2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Cook skewers, turning, for 6 to 7 minutes for medium, or until browned and cooked to your liking.
  3. Meanwhile, heat rice following packet directions. Place remaining sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 5 minutes or until heated through.
  4. lace remaining salad ingredients, including dressing and noodles, in a large bowl. Toss to coat. Divide salad and rice among serving plates. Top with skewers and drizzle with sauce. Serve.
