1kg gravy beef, cut into chunks (see recipe notes)
2 tbsp gravox
1 tbsp plain flour
500g baby potatoes, halved
200g button mushrooms, halved
2 carrots, chopped
6 shallots, halved
125ml (1/2cup) Massel Beef Style Liquid Stock
400g can chopped tomatoes
225g jar tomato chutney
- Toss beef in gravox and plain flour in the bowl of a slow cooker. Arrange potato, mushroom, carrot and shallot over beef. Pour over stock, tomatoes and chutney. Cook on HIGH for 8 hours or until the beef is tender. Serve with steamed green vegetables, if desired.
You could also use chuck beef steak, cut into pieces.
