1 1/2 cups caster sugar
2 cups boiling water
2 cups lemon juice, strained
3 tsp rosewater essence
Fresh mint leaves, to serve
Ice cubes, to serve
- Place sugar in a large heatproof jug. Add boiling water. Stir until sugar dissolves. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until cold.
- Stir in lemon juice and rosewater. Add 5 to 6 cups cold water (adjusting the amount to your taste). Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until cold.
- Add mint leaves and ice cubes to lemonade. Serve.
To give this an alcoholic twist, serve with a generous splash of vanilla-flavoured vodka.
